What is an Escape Room?

Escape Rooms are an interactive, real-life group gaming experience for people of all ages and skill sets. You do not need to have any special knowledge to solve the puzzles and have a good time. Just be creative and curious!

How many participants can be in a room?  Is there an age Limit?

2 of our rooms (Framed and Speakeasy) are designed to have 2 to 10 participants, while our newest room (The Barbershop) will only hold 2-6 participants.  We recommend our rooms for ages 14 and up.  Players that are 17 and under must be accompanied by a paying adult participant.  All adult players will be required to sign a waiver, those 17 and under will be under the responsibilty of the playing adult participant.

Am I really locked in a room?  

No, all of our rooms are unlocked so that you may leave at anytime should you feel uncomfortable or have to use the restroom.  The only way to "Win" is to complete all the clues/puzzles which will lead you to the hidden item .

How much does it cost?  How much time do I have to get out?

Our base rate is $20/Person plus taxes/fees.  Your party has 45 minutes to solve all the clues/puzzles .

How do I book a room?

Just click on our Rates and Booking tab at the top of our website.  You will then be directed to select which room would like to book and what day/time.  After selecting the # of participants, you will checkout and pay online at that time.

What is the difference between a Public and a Private Room?

Because our rooms are designed for up to 6 or 10 people (Based on which room), we do our best to fill the room.  To book under a Public room would mean that should your party be less than the maximum the room could hold, there is a chance that another party could book the remaining slots and join you during your time slot.  For a Private room, you pay a flat rate and your party will have the room all to yourselves for your time slot.  We recommend the Private party booking, only because we have found that once friends find out what you are doing, they want to join.  The only way to ensure they can join you is by booking the Private room rate.

How early should I arrive?

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the room start time.  During this preliminary time, you will be given a breakdown of our rules, sign waivers, and receive the backstory to the room you will be entering.

Do you accomodate Team Building or Private Events?

Absolutely!!! In addition to our 3 Escape Rooms, we have a Conference Room with tables, chairs, white board, and a debriefing packet that focuses on how their experience in the room contributes to Team Building .  We have additional time slots throughout the week for Private and Corporate Events.  Please contact us at 330-960-1122 to set up a Private or Corporate Event. 

Is it scary?

No, our rooms are not designed to scare you.  Our rooms are not in the dark and do not contain any actors in the rooms. 

Can we bring alcohol in with us?

No. Your group will need most of your brain power to escape the room.  There are plenty of excellent establishments in Downtown Wooster for your group to enjoy and talk about your experience at Unlocked: Escape Room Wooster.

What happens if I can't make my booking?

All of our rooms are non-refundable.  We do however allow you to reschedule to another day/time if it is done 48 hours or more from your room start time.

Can I take pictures?

You are always encouraged to take pictures in our lobby , especially after your experience in front of our large banner.  We do not allow any pictures or video inside our Escape Rooms.  A lot of time and effort has been put into the design of these rooms, so we do not want to spoil anything for the participants that haven't gone yet.
